I took my Santa Rosa students to Railroad Square, where we enjoyed sketching a variety of window displays in the shops. My favorite was the Whistlestop Antique store window, featuring a beautiful teal blue eagle weather vane and some old lathe-turned posts. This sketch was done entirely with two colors of aquarelle pencil and water-brush strokes…no ink.
