Open Studios event, continued

OK, here is the digital painting by three-year old Noa (a girl).

Now check out the work of a 6-year old named Forest (also a girl) and nine-year old Lily.

These images were created by each of these little girls using Corel Painter 11 on a MacBook Pro and a Wacom tablet, after about a minute of instruction from me. Many adults need a lot longer to get the hang of it.

Marin Open Studios

On the weekend of May 12 and 13 about 35 artists in Sausalito’s ICB Art Center opened their doors to the public for this annual county-wide event.  Holding court in studio 306A, I enjoyed meeting dozens of new art lovers as well as seeing familiar friends and collectors. These photos were taken by Susan Fan-Brown.

One of the best parts of the event for me was introducing several more people to hands-on digital art with Corel Painter and a Wacom tablet. My youngest “student” was a three-your-old who jumped right in and began scribbling ferociously. I’ll post her painting as soon as I get a signed release from her people.
